I've built 50 to 100 websites of all sorts using many different Content Management Systems.
I've used Wordpress, Joomla, MediaWiki, phpBB, vBulletin, Artisteer, and a variety of other wild and wonderful website making software.

Search Engine Optimization
If you want to get Google to pay a bit of attention to your website there are many strategies including:
- Creating good content rich with pictures and videos
- Getting backlinks to your website and finding backlink sources via footprints
- Submit your Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools and follow any suggestions given
- Sign up for Google Analytics and watch your traffic and notice what is popular on your site
- Submit your sitemap.xml to Bing Webmaster Tools
- The most important thing of all though is to just start posting great content every day or two and google will eventually love your website.
Why I chose Weebly For This Website
These are the reasons I choose Weebly for almost everything now.
The last point is a big one. I've helped several people and businesses create websites and watching how fast they can make a website with minor help is really awesome. So instead of struggling with html at least try the trial and start creating and be free of all the usual finicky website details. Here are 3 websites of friends who built websites with Weebly and had never built a website before.
- Drag and drop interface
- Weebly worries about updating the software - not me
- Weebly keeps the website free from hackers
- You can buy the domain and host your website at Weebly - too easy!
- You can customize the html if you choose
- I can teach someone how to use it in about 1/2 hour
