Drupal Footprints
Drupal is a very popular Content Management System (CMS). I have included several Drupal footprints. The first one is pretty basic, the second one finds the registration page on Drupal sites as registration is required on most in order to post. The third finds comment pages and the fourth Drupal footprint will find Drupal sites that are edu domains. The final footprint comes from the html source and may help you find more sites that the other footprints don't. Specifically when someone has removed the "powered by Drupal" from their sites.

Geeklog Footprints
Geeklog is a CMS that encourages online communities and can be used for news as well. It has blog like functionality and supports commenting. I came up with a few Geeklog footprints. The first is the standard "powered by" footprint, the second shows how you can find specific releases of Geeklog, and the final footprint will bring you to the registration page. Note that the last footprint will bring you to a few non-Geeklog sites but you have a brain and should be able to figure things out.

Joomla Footprints

"Joomla! is Free Software released under the GNU/GPL License." keyword
"Joomla! is a registered trademark of Open Source Matters, Inc" keyword
"Joomla! 1.5 - Open Source Content Management" keyword

KickApps Footprints
KickApps is an application that lets you build a "social solution". It allows communities and more. The first KickApps footprint allows you to find Kickapps sites in general and the second footprint will lead you straight to the registration page.

Mambo Footprints
Mambo is a popular CMS that has been around since 2000. Its been forked several times and Joomla! is one of the results. I've included 2 Mambo footprints. I find the first one works the best.

PHP-Nuke Footprints
PHP-Nuke is a professional Content Management System (CMS) that allows you to post content, include members, and has a forum. I created a few PHP-Nuke footprints. The final one will help find the registration page.

"PHP-Nuke is a free software released under the GNU/GPL" keyword
inurl:modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=new_user

Scoop Footprints
Scoop is collaborative type software and allows users to leave comments. A lot of Scoop sites are a bit older and are easy to place backlinks on. Older sites often have good PR as a bonus. We'll just use a basic footprint to find these websites.
"powered by Scoop" keyword

Textpattern Footprints
Textpattern is a free easy to use opensource CMS that supports over 40 languages. What is strange about this CMS is that I find a lot of people have installed it on their site and then have done nothing with the default installation. I didn't find any really good footprints for this CMS as every website seemed to use it quite differently. Here are 3 Textpattern footprints you may wish to try.
"Team Textpattern. All Rights Reserved" keyword
"Published with Textpattern CMS" keyword
"powered by Textpattern" keyword
"Team Textpattern. All Rights Reserved" keyword
"Published with Textpattern CMS" keyword

XOOPS Footprints
Xoops is a popular and powerful CMS written in PHP. I figured out several XOOPS footprints. The first two work the best and the last two work pretty good but will find some unrelated sites as well.
